In fact, it was named the number one beach in the USA by Tripadvisor. It also offers a wide range of aquatic activities and beachside amenities for beachgoers.

Aside from its beaches, Sarasota is also known for its spectacular sunsets. There are no world-class beaches in Tampa city. They are located well outside of the city. So, if you are a true beach lover looking for a perfect beach vacation with a number of water activities to explore, then Sarasota is a better option than Tampa.
However, if the beach is not the main priority and you are looking for countless urban activities, sightseeing opportunities, and rich history and culture, then Tampa is a better option than Sarasota.
